The 4 Supplements Holly Recommends to Every Client

August 24, 2026

When clients ask me why I started carrying supplements at Shanti, my answer is always the same: because I kept seeing the same pattern.

Someone would come in for a session, we'd do incredible work together, and they'd leave feeling genuinely better. Then they'd come back a few weeks later and we'd be starting over. The tension had returned. The inflammation was back. The sleep was still poor.

I started asking questions. What were they eating? How were they sleeping? Were they taking anything to support their recovery? The answers were almost always the same: not much, not well, and no.

That's when I started researching. I wanted to find a small, focused set of supplements — things I could personally stand behind — that would help my clients hold onto the progress we were making together.

Magnesium: The One Most People Are Missing

If I could only recommend one supplement to every person I work with, it would be magnesium. The research is clear: a significant portion of the population is deficient in this essential mineral, and most people have no idea.

For my clients, the most noticeable effects are usually better sleep and less muscle tension between sessions. When your magnesium levels are adequate, your muscles can actually let go — not just during a massage, but in the hours and days that follow.

Omega-3: Fighting Inflammation at the Source

Chronic inflammation is the enemy of recovery. It's also incredibly common — driven by stress, processed foods, and the general demands of modern life. Omega-3 fatty acids are one of the most well-studied anti-inflammatory nutrients we have.

I recommend it especially to clients who are dealing with chronic pain, athletes who train hard, or anyone who feels like their body is always fighting something. It's not a quick fix — it works over time — but the cumulative effect is real.

B Complex: When Your Energy and Mood Need Support

Your nervous system runs on B vitamins. When you're depleted — which happens easily with stress, alcohol, certain medications, or a diet that's less than ideal — your energy drops, your mood becomes harder to regulate, and your body's ability to repair itself slows down.

I've seen clients who were doing everything right — coming in regularly, sleeping better, eating well — but still feeling flat. Adding a B Complex often makes a noticeable difference in their energy and resilience between sessions.

Theracurmin: The Curcumin That Actually Works

I've been recommending curcumin for years, but I was always frustrated by one thing: most of it doesn't get absorbed. You can take a standard turmeric supplement and your body will use very little of it.

Theracurmin changed that for me. It uses a patented dispersion process that dramatically increases bioavailability — meaning the curcumin actually reaches your tissues where it can reduce inflammation and support joint health.

Why I Carry These Four

I didn't want to stock a wall of supplements and overwhelm people with choices. I wanted a small, focused collection of things I genuinely believe in — things I use myself and have seen work for my clients over time.

These four cover the most common gaps I see: magnesium deficiency, chronic inflammation, nervous system depletion, and poor curcumin absorption. Together, they support the same outcomes we're working toward in every session: less tension, less inflammation, better sleep, and a body that can actually heal.

All four are available at the studio. Come see the full Wellness Shop or ask me about them at your next session — I'm always happy to talk through what might be the right fit for you.
